Year End Cover Photo
After a letter written to Hype regarding the photo used for the cover page (Thanks Jepoi for alarming us, you are a true friend). Maybe, he is not alone in interpreting the photo the way he did. So I decided to post an explanation as to why we have chosen this picture for our Preview ( something that can still be changed before final print).
So Here’s the Story….
The cover Photo is saying goodbye to 2006. The photo encapsulates the
challenges the magazine had gone through the year beforehand. This
photo was taken after the car we took was stuck in deep mud after a
nasty rain. After doing everything we could with all our strength to
get the truck moving we ended up digging a deeper ditch and decided to
leave the car behind and take the most basic way to get to our
destination. Packing up all our necessities, we take the road less
traveled, reach our destination and fulfilled what we were set out
to do. To reach home and continue to do what we set out to do, without
being stuck in the idea of fast tracking our journey. Today, we stick to
BASICS. We now know that The best way to get to our destination to reach our goals was to go slowly but surely. Hype Magazine will
LIVE and We shall do whatever it took to Keep it Alive to the best of
our abilities.
